My Indweller

A deep desire in me,
To meet that wonderful God.
Searching for him everywhere,
I found no worthy answer

Passing through the shadows,
A wise soul said, “See Thyself”
And I began to ponder,
To my utter surprise
I found the god ,
In myself.

He was the kindness
He was the goodness
He was the joy in my heart,
My true guide
Who loved me more than myself.
Forever treasured in my soul,
My Indweller…
